A computer controlled local anesthesia delivery system to make the process more comfortable for you. The STA is more accurate and less stressful, as the anesthesia numbs only the tooth being treated – not the entire side of the mouth. We can choose which individual tooth we will be working on, instead of getting your lip, cheek and tongue numb on the same side. The process is also much less painful than a normal injection, and wears off in about 30 minutes instead of 2-3 hours. This device cannot be used in every situation, but most patients find they really like it when we can use it.
